As a panellist at the launch of Prince Charles’s ‘Costing The Earth - The Accounting For Sustainability’ campaign, Global Cool founder Dan Morrell (pictured) took the opportunity yesterday to announce a major global event set for July 2007.
Although the pioneering environmentalist kept the details close to his chest, the event is expected to feature appearances of some from the world’s biggest stars, who will be joining forces with Global Cool in a huge multilateral consciousness raising spectacular.
Dan was joined at the event by Prime Minister Tony Blair, Environment Secretary David Miliband and BP CEO Lord Browne.
After attending a private lunch hosted by The Prince of Wales, Dan addressed the panel and revealed the ethos behind Global Cool and the initiative’s 10-year journey to combat global warming.
And, as a testament to Global Cool’s fast rising status, the Prince referred back to Dan’s speech in his summing up, saying, “in the words of Dan Morrell…”. Not a bad endorsement to kick things off we say.
