As you can see above, finding a bed bug can be a bit tricky. There are some things that you may notice when bed bugs are present. It is important to get rid of them quickly.   • Dark Spots on Furniture: When you see spots on your mattress or furniture that look like you have taken a marker and made spots, you are looking at bed bug waste. Yes, that is where they went to the bathroom on your furniture.
  • Tiny Clear Eggshells: This is the shell of the bed bug. If you are seeing this, then you can bet that they have reproduced and are spreading. It is similar to a snake shedding its skin. A bed bug will shed its shell as it grows.
  • Rust Spots: As you know, fabric does not rust. So, if you see rust spots on your bedding or couches then that is possibly from a bed bug being squashed. The rust is the bed bug’s blood, possibly what it took from whatever human has been in the bed. This is a sure sign.
